Paul Purvis

Pastor Paul joined the staff of FBC in June 2006. Paul was born in Hartsville, South Carolina. He began visiting hospitals with his father, also a pastor, when he was only waist high. He made the decision to be a follower of Jesus at an early age and later committed his life to full-time vocational ministry. Paul holds degrees from Furman University in Greenville, S.C. (B.A. in Political Science in 1991) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX (Master of Divinity in 1994). He was ordained December 1993 by Lakeview Baptist Church, Hartsville, South Carolina. Paul and his wife Kimberly were married in 1993 and have four energetic boys: Micah, Caleb, Noah, and Luke.
Troy Brasel

Pastor Troy has been serving on the staff of First Baptist since 2003 where he was later ordained to the gospel ministry. He received a Bachelor of Science from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1993. Having been a pastor to students for more than 13 years, Troy is passionate for teenagers and desires for them to not only know Christ, but to know Him in an intimate and real way. He and his wife Candice have two sons, Hunter and Trenton.
Todd Ellett |
Pastor Todd joined the staff of First Baptist in January
2005. He received a Bachelor of Arts in 1987 from Louisiana Tech
University in Ruston, LA, and in 1991 a Master of Arts in
Biblical Counseling from Denver Seminary. He served on staff
with Doulos Ministries in Branson, MO from 1991 to 2004. As
director of Shelterwood, at Doulos, Todd ministered to families
in crisis situations. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in
1999. Todd and his wife Angela have three daughters, Grace,
Olivia, and Audrey.
